The official National TSA Competitive Events Guide includes all event details, such as portfolio and submission requirements, project criteria and constraints, on-site procedures, evaluation rubrics, and other relevant information. With the exception of Georgia-only events, these guidelines are accessed by logging in to your National TSA account at www.tsaweb.org. Instructions for locating the guidelines are available at this link.
Equally important are the Georgia Modifications listed in the SLC Competitive Event Quick Reference Guide, which identify changes to national guidelines and outline Georgia’s submission process, evaluation criteria, and requirements for the State Leadership Conference. These modifications also indicate which events require a pre-submission or pre-conference test.
Georgia TSA occasionally modifies competitive event rubrics and submission requirements to better align with the state conference schedule, facilities, and management system. While we strive to follow the National TSA Competitive Events Guide as closely as possible, some adjustments are necessary. These modifications typically occur for one of the following reasons:
- Time constraints – Events are condensed into two competition days, requiring adjustments to fit the state conference schedule.
- Facility limitations – Available space or setup may differ from national specifications, prompting format changes.
- Event management compatibility – Georgia TSA’s myGATSA system differs from the national DLGplatform, so submission procedures may vary.
All competitors and advisors are responsible for reviewing and following the Georgia modifications. Modifications listed in the Georgia TSA Modifications document supersede the national guidelines for the Georgia TSA State Leadership Conference.
